Twist off closures have traditionally been produced with a compound made of PVC. Pressure from consumers and organisations has pushed the development in the direction of PVC free twist off closures.
Recently the Swedish organization KRAV has implemented new requirements in order to obtain a certification: From 1st of January 2018 the closures must be PVC free and BPA free (Bisfenol A).
The Krav certification is the best known environment mark for organic food in Sweden. It sets particular high standards for animal welfare, health, social responsibility and climate influences.
